We are a family of professional musicians and music teachers with almost 30 years of experience each.
Back in Budapest, we ran a private music school where we worked with students of all ages. We regularly taught whole families: brothers, sisters, mothers, and even children born after their older siblings started studying music with us. When teaching adult students, we helped them achieve and exceed the goals they set for themselves when embarking on the journey to learn a new instrument. With the little ones, we helped them set these goals to begin with, making the most of everything we could teach.
Learning music is a complex process that requires systematic individual practice and scrupulous following of the teacher's instructions – however, only live performance makes it truly meaningful, challenging, and exciting. This compelled us to organise home concerts for parents and relatives where the students had friendly competitions for small prizes. The children have grown up, but the rewards, certificates and recordings remained, along with the priceless memories and invaluable performing experience. Spurred on by their success, our students became regular performers at their schools and family events, and gained tremendous popularity among their friends and relatives. We encouraged students to experiment in various genres and try multiple instruments – violin, guitar, piano, even singing! Some students were inspired to compose their own pieces, and we helped them turn their simple musical ideas into professional-sounding arrangements.
We worked very closely with our students and their families, and consolidated our friendly and professional relationship by composing original pieces for them, with titles like For Natela, For Rachel, and Lullaby for Enikő. Being multi-instrumentalists with an extensive experience in production and mastering, we recorded and produced these pieces with instrumental and vocal accompaniment in our home studio.
